Coronavirus is expected to hit its peak in the first few weeks of April, as mentioned by Robert R. Redfield, Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Despite this troubling news, there have been several reported cases that have recovered especially from hospice patients.

FOX News recently posted on their Instagram page about an old man in his 60s who had been cured of the COVID-19 outbreak. The entire video showed staff members at the Las Vegas Hospital cheering him on as he rolled down the corridor with a surgical mask in a wheelchair. According to the video, he was "... one of the first COVID-19 patients admitted into the hospital, and one of the most critical cases to see recovery."

Content like this is what the world needs to be exposed to more often, particularly during a time like this. Families, college students, elders and more are seriously impacted by unemployment, displacement from their homes, becoming susceptible or limited to seeing their loved ones. As a low-income college student, I understand the pain that many Americans have been experiencing during this dire time, and how uncertain the future seems at this point.

I felt a sense of hope for our nation and the global population when I saw the Instagram video because, as most of us know, the older people are more prone to catch the COVID-19 virus because of their weak immune system. The elderly are the most disadvantaged group, along with asthmatic, HIV-patients, and people with underlying conditions such as diabetes. In an updated statement, the CDC announced that "8 out of 10 deaths reported in the U.S. have been in adults 65 years old and older."

Though we live in an unprecedented time period, it's good to see videos of people trying to unify even if their lives are at risk. Moreover, seeing the nurses all lined up to celebrate the recovery of the old man was the highlight of the 30-second clip, as it shows solidarity throughout this eerie season.
